Achievements
-A Peterson award in seven of the eight years since our founding. The Peterson is the highest honor bestowed upon an undergraduate chapter.
-Raised $10,000 in 2006 for Habitat for Humanity through the American Classic 5k.
-Earned public recognition in the AU and DC community for community service events which include; mall beautifcation, work with the Glen Echo Fire Department, work with DC area schools to improve playground facilities and the DC area Children's Hospital.
-Raised over $4,000 in 2006 for the Children's Miracle Network through the annual Derby Days Fundraiser.
-Assisted in the installation of the Kappa Chi chapter at Villanova University.
-Continued maintenance of the highest GPA among fraternities at American University.
-Raised over $1,000 for the Housing Corp thus far in the 2006-2007 school year.
-Strives to continually involve alumni through events like the annual family and pledge class olympics.
-Initiated 10 pledges in the Fall of 2006, our largest fall class ever.
-Earned permanent recognition at AU for continuous service toward campus beautification.

Children's Miracle Network
The Children's Miracle Network (CMN) is an international non-profit organization that raises funds for Children's hospitals, medical research and community awareness of children's health issues. The organization, founded in 1983 by Marie Osmond and John Schneider, is headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. To date, the Children's Miracle Network claims to have raised over US $2.2 Billion which is distributed directly to a network of 170 hospitals. Since 1992, Sigma Chi chapters have raised more than $4.2 million dollars for area CMN hospitals [1] and devoted thousands of hours of service to CMN affiliates. In the 2005-2005 academic year, Sigma Chi raised $473,757.43 for the Children's Miracle Network,

Huntsman Cancer Foundation
The Huntsman Cancer Institute was added as another beneficiary in 2005. In the 2005 - 2006 academic year, Sigma Chi raised $55,244.63 for the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
